Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed credits his Christian faith for helping him develop a new mindset and turn around his baseball career. "It's not about me anymore," Ahmed said. "It's about serving others and glorifying God."

A Spiritual Turning Point

Ahmed, who won Golden Gloves in 2018 and 2019 for his superior fielding, said the spiritual turning point in his life came during a minor league game. "I was at a really low point in my career," Ahmed recalled. "I was struggling on the field, and I was feeling lost and alone."

During that game, Ahmed said he felt a presence on the field with him. "I knew it was God," Ahmed said. "He was telling me that He loved me and that He wanted to help me." Ahmed said he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior that day, and his life has never been the same.
